The Millepiedi Bench by Driade was designed by Studio Caitor in 2020.  The design was inspired by a 3 legged milking stool, a simple minimalistic object yet intriguing and useful. The repetition emphasizes, in a playful way, the beauty of the natural material and the skillful craftsman work required to assemble the various elements. The multiplication of the legs brings up spontaneously the image of the caterpillar “Millepiedi” (millipede in Italian).  The final result is a versatile bench that brings together beauty, elegance, and surprise.

Materials:  Bench with five seats and spaced legs, made entirely of solid ash in the “open pore” ebonized finish. Indoor use only.
