Born in Berlin in 1941, Stefan Heiliger spent 13 years of his design career at Mercedes Benz before becoming a lecturer.  Since becoming a full-time designer in 1985, Heiliger has won over 30 design awards including the Interior Innovation Award, Good Design Award, and Red Dot Award. His designs, including the One for Two Lounge Chair, have been exhibited in many museums throughout France and Germany.
